MEDIATION FEE SCHEDULE

Fees are charged on the basis of a flat fee per party for each mediation day or half-day. All parties represented by the same attorney are considered a single “party” for purposes of the mediation fee. The fee schedule is a guideline and actual fees charged vary depending on the circumstances of the parties and other factors. A typical full-day mediation begins at 9:30 AM and concludes at 5:30 PM and includes a working lunch. Ordinarily, three hour and half-day mediations begin at either 9:30 AM or 1:30 PM.

The fee for mediation includes:

Scheduling and administering the session
Any pre-mediation conferences
Preparation for the mediation
Conducting the mediation session
Conducting post-session telephone facilitation as needed
Lunch (full-day mediations only) and refreshments (all mediations) for all present
Expenses incurred by the mediator, including long-distance telephone, copying, fax, postage, etc.

Schedule of Fees Per Party, Per Mediation Day

Full day mediation:

2 parties: $1,100.00 /party
3 or more parties: $1,000.00 /party

If the mediation continues past 5:30 PM, there will be an additional hourly charge of $125.00 per hour per party.

Lunch and refreshments provided.

Half day mediation:

First four hours: $550.00 /party
3 or more parties: $500.00 /party

If the mediation exceeds four hours, there will be an additional hourly charge of $125.00 per hour per party.

Refreshments provided.

This schedule is used as a general guideline and I am willing to work with the parties to establish a fee that encourages mediation. The mediation fee will not present an obstacle to the process and when warranted, I am willing to mediate pro bono.
